Are all chiropractors the same?

Just like all other fields of medicine, chiropractic care has evolved over the years. Therefore, no, not all chiropractors are the same. We use different techniques, technologies and typically specialize in different areas.

At Connected Chiropractic, we have invested in state-of-the-art technology, including digital x-ray, so we can serve you best. In addition, our doctors specialize in different techniques to stay up to date on the latest information.

  • Arm numbness / tingling

Why should I get chiropractic care?

The nervous system is the most important system in your body. It controls and coordinates every other system and function in your body. If the nervous system isn’t functioning like it should, then the other systems can’t function well either.

Chiropractic care focuses on healing your nervous system by removing subluxations or misalignments in your spine. At Connected Chiropractic, we utilize Torque Release Technique which is not painful, it is very gentle and specific.

Why do adjustments sometimes make a popping sound?

The “pop” of an adjustment (or cracking your back) is because there is a capsule in every joint that houses synovial fluid. The fluid acts as a lubricant to make sure that two surfaces don’t rub together and wear down. The fluid is encased by a synovial membrane and cartilage. Pressure can build up inside the capsule and feel like it needs to “pop”. When you hear that popping sound that is the sound of that pressure and gas being released from the capsule.

The “pop” does not mean an adjustment was made. Typically, when you crack your back on your own, it is just the gases being released and ends up causing hypermobility (too much motion) in that joint. This can cause true healing from your chiropractic adjustments to take more time and can cause your existing issues to get worse.

It is important to note that not all chiropractic offices are the same or utilize the same technique. For example, our office uses a low force, specific adjustment that does not causing popping or cracking.

Do you accept my insurance?

Is chiropractic care safe for kids?

If you are a parent, you understand the importance of teaching your children healthy habits. It’s a huge responsibility to help them to learn how to eat right, exercise regularly, and give their body the vitamins and nutrients it needs to thrive. But what you may not know is that spinal health is also incredibly important to the health of the overall body, for both children and adults. The spine is the foundation of the body and should be well maintained.

Chiropractic care from Connected Chiropractic ensures proper spinal health. Children with excellent spinal health are better able to function and grow as they should. Additionally, children who are under regular chiropractic care from a young age are more likely to grow up to be healthier adults.

Is chiropractic care safe while pregnant?

Absolutely! It is very safe and also beneficial. Pregnant moms find that being under chiropractic care before, during and after pregnancy helps them be more comfortable, eases back pain, and reduces round ligament pain. Research also shows that routine chiropractic care can help decrease labor pains and delivery time.
